This kit contain everything you need to generate powerful water circulation and beautiful water display features, including a powerful PowerJet water circulating pump, riser stem and two fountainheads. The pump does not require foam cartridges since it sits inside a cocoon-like cage that blocks out dirt and debris and protects the pump from clogging. However, if you have fish in the pond, as I do, you will still need to clean the pump from time to time. This is a great pump which does not use an enormous amount of electricity to run. This pump is easy to install and featuring Click-Fit Fast Couplings the pump is completely submersible and engineered to run continuously. Laguna PowerJet 2400 is for ponds up to 4800 US Gallons and includes an outlet adaptor with a diameter of ΒΎ", 1", 1 ΒΌ". ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wow- energy efficient - twice the amount of water at reduced cost - self cleaning cage with makeup water + fountain = 5 STAR, *by B***. on August 29, 2014* Wow, what great pumps and energy efficient. Best gph is the 2400 Laguna at 28.57gph per watt used - 84 watts for 2400gph. Note: On my 18 year old 2000 gallon KOI Pond, I replaced my third pump, 1800gph 145 watt pump and my 36W UV light filter pump using 45 watts which is set at 250gph to kill free floating parasites, bacteria, and algae with 2 LAGUNA 2000gph fountain/waterfall pumps since price was right.Now I use only 160 watts versus the 190 watts using before and my waterfalls are twice the amount. Also I now have added a BALL fountain off one pump and the rest goes into my 150 gallon Skippy's bio filter. This pump is set on a timer to run only 14 hours a day. The second pump I use the fountain head exit piped to my 36 watt UV Light filter at a controlled rate of 250gph and also rest goes into the 150 gallon Skippy's bio filter making twice the water over the two falls I have. Now, I have more water thru the bio filter and over the two waterfalls with just one pump at only 80 watts and at 160 watts 2.2 times amount of water flowing.Another great feature is I use the backwash cleaner head, PT609 with the PT637 garden hose connector for pond make up water from my well connected directly. All you have to do is take the knockout plugs off the side of cage to mount above parts. Now when I put make up water in pond it cleans the plastic cage holes fairly well weekly and I only so far had to brush cage openings once this summer. Beautiful waterfalls - love the sound at night and love the ball fountain head - bonus love the reduced cost to operate and the two separate control valves are included for fountain and waterfall are built right into the the main valve. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Undamaged and as advertised, no clogging! *by R***K on July 12, 2020* Update Feb 2025:Still working 24/7 without clogging through rain and SoCal wind storms, periodic power outages.Original:Pump is strong, quiet and does not clog like a high-power Tetra I also recently deployed (2 pressure filters).
