Our daughter is exactly 40 months, which this carrier is supposed to go up to and she is only 29 lbs. A tiny girl. My husband went to tighten the strap and it broke completely off. Will be returning immediately. I purchased it to give as a gift for a friend who already has a little one. Being able to use it for different ages and different sized children is a double bonus. I tried it on and although I didn't have a baby to try it out, I love the hip seat that it comes with for lumbar support. The straps that go over your shoulders were designed with a very thick padding which made them incredibly comfortable to wear. In addition to all of the features, it's just really a beautiful product.
