Review: This Stuff is Magic in a Can!!! - This stuff is absolutely AMAZING!!! I really didn't think it would work bcz it did say for "small" leaks, (mine was NOT small) but with a $1,500 estimate to fix my 2006 Chrysler Town & country with 128k miles,(def not worth it to me) I wanted to try this product first before I broke down to buy a newer car. I was so skeptical since there were mixed reviews, but most were positive so I ordered it. First off my vans "symptoms" were massive coolant leak (over a gallon a day), over heating, oil mixing with coolant, heat only blowing out cold air. I did not have white smoke blowing out of tailpipe or milky film on oil cap or steam from radiator. The coolant leak (with oil mixed in it) and temperature reading HOT within 4-5 minutes of driving, & engine driving rough we're my biggest issues. My husband's friend is a mechanic, so I know he was being honest, did find the HG leak also.. it would have cost alot more to fix had we brought it somewhere else. The $1500 was a favor..but still too much for an older van.. anyways, so I got the product, & my radiator was empty bcz it all leaked out (but it does say u can add it with coolant already in the radiator/no need to drain out) so I poured the whole can in while engine was cool, then topped it off with antifreeze & squeezed on the hoses to get any air out. I started the van & left it running for 20 minutes with heat & fan on HIGH. I Could still see it leaking underneath but not nearly as much (wait it gets better!) So I let engine cool again & topped it off with more antifreeze, then took it for a slow 20 min ride around town with heat still on high.. it was NOT overheating! Heat was HOT again! When I got home & shut van off, I looked underneath and the leaking had completely stopped!! You don't need to do this next step, but I went ahead to get an oil change on day 12 & added one container of the"Bars leaks engine repair 2 part formula" for added protection (not sure if the stuff really works good or not but I liked the reviews & figured it could only help) I could not believe this stuff in a can did all of that so easily! This stuff is great! 5 stars from me! I saved so much money! I am now on day 16 and everything is still going great! No issues at all. I am still a little bit skeptical on how long it will work for, but I've read that some people got another 50-70,000 more miles out of their cars after using it before they had to use it again!.. so I am definitely a believer in this product! I'll see how long it lasts. If any problems arise I will be sure to come back on to post about it..but for now all is great! Van is running better than it has in a LONG time!!👍
Review: What Every GM V6 Owner Needs to Know - It is no secret that GM has thousands of unhappy customers due to bad design of intake manifold gaskets, look it up on the web. After having the intake gaskets replaced three years ago they went again, they last about three years before blowing again due to bad gaskets and the effects of DexCool. I parked my vehicle trying to decide what to do. After much internet research I decided to tr{ this product. I am very pleased to say it works and is well worth the price. I do not know how long the fix will last but at least I can use my vehicle again, if I get another year of driving out of it I'll be happy. Again, it works. As an old broken down "wrench" I would have torn into it when I was younger but am not going to go through $2700 repair every two to three years. Update, 3/28/2012 Vehicle still running with no leaks or loss of coolant. You will need to keep it clear of your radiator cap so coolant can pull back from the overflow resivoir. This stuff works, look at the reviews here they aren't fabrications. Update, 10/22/2012 Still running just fine. Arizona summers find all sorts of weak spots in your cooling system, none arose this past year or summer. The coolant loss situation I faced was as bad as any I've read about here or other sites so it's not like it was minor. Maybe I am lucky but this product has given me use of my "family hauler" vehicle for just short of one year and another 5K miles of around town use. Update 12/15/2012 Well the leak fix popped last week and it's back to sucking coolant into the intake manifold. I will flush the cooling system and try the Bars Leaks again. I got just over a year of vehicle use with it so if you get results like this it's worth it. Update 1/21/2013, Weather was nice today so I added another bottle of this product ran it for 15 minutes while temperature held steady. Upon cooling down and checking fluid levers I drove eight miles with temperature holding right where it should. If past performance is going to repeat I should be drivable for another year. Update 08/09/2013 vehicle still drivable through another hot summer, even days up to 114 degrees. Would not of course take a long trip in it but for around town use it's holding up. Your case may be different but if your vehicle is old enough to have virtually no trade in value and need something to get you to and from work it is worth a try.

## Features

- SAFELY SEALS GASKET AND OTHER SEVERE LEAKS: One step formulation contains a combination of antifreeze compatible sodium silicate sealing liquid and various size gasket sealing particles which penetrate gaps and cracks then harden to permanently stop leaks. Heavy duty formula works on aluminum and cast iron heads & blocks, along with sealing all other engine cooling system leaks better than a traditional stop leak. This includes repairing head gaskets, cylinder heads, intake gaskets, cracked blocks and freeze plugs.
- QUICKLY AND PERMANENTLY STOPS COOLANT LEAKS: This works because of the extreme heat inside the combustion chamber (5000°F) that acts as a catalyst to permanently harden the material to make it stronger than the actual head gasket itself.
- ONE STEP - NO DRAINING REQUIRED - EASY TO USE: Your vehicle is a good candidate for this product if it can idle for 20 minutes without overheating or having to add coolant.
- USE WITH ALL TYPES OF TRADITIONAL OR EXTENDED LIFE COOLANT: Use with ALL types of traditional or extended life coolant including yellow, orange, pink, red, blue, purple and green silicate based & non-silicate based (OAT/HOAT) 50-50 mix antifreeze, and/or water.
- Made in the USA

## Questions & Answers

**Q: when can coolant and water pump lubricant be installed after using bar's head gasket product?**
A: Doesn't really matter. Bar's head gasket repair liquid mixes with coolant anyway so you don't really care if you do it before or after. The point is you must have enough space for the Bar's stuff to get in the system. You have to remove a quart of coolant from the radiator so it can accommodate the Bar's liquid when added. If you are adding pump lubricant then you have to remove more coolant. Hope this answers your concern.

**Q: Can I add this to a clean cooling system that already has the Subaru coolant additive in it?**
A: If it is a Subaru stop leak product we would not, if just the Subaru coolant is in the system and no additive for stopping leaks than that is perfectly fine to add. Please follow all instructions and dosage recommendation on the product.

If you have any other technical questions, feel free to contact our Technical Service Professionals at 800-345-6572 or if you would prefer you can use the contact us page on our website.

**Q: buenas, como se aplica el producto?**
A: Lee las indicaciones

**Q: Safe for a 2011 bmw 760li?**
A: Yes, your vehicle is a good candidate for this product if it can idle for 20 minutes without overheating or having to add coolant. Use on ALL water cooled gasoline and diesel engines. Heavy duty formula works on aluminum and cast iron heads & blocks, along with sealing all other engine cooling system leaks better than a traditional stop leak.

This includes repairing head gaskets, cylinder heads, intake gaskets, cracked blocks and freeze plugs. Use with ALL types of traditional or extended life coolant including yellow, orange, pink, red, blue, purple and green silicate based & non-silicate based (OAT/HOAT) 50-50 mix antifreeze, and/or water.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This stuff is amazing, does what it claims to do
*by J***N on August 31, 2020*

Scenario: 2003 T. 4Runner burning coolant through bad gasket, replaced radiator and somehow the aftermarket radiator cap cannot hold pressure to suck the coolant out from reservoir tank, driving 4-5 weeks car will overheating with 30-40 floz coolant loss that i have to add-in. Did some research and went through most of the reviews here are Amazon, decided to give this product a try as my last resort or i will have to replace the head gasket for a few $Ks which dont make sense for a 215,000 mile car. Go as directed on the bottle, pour in the whole bottle for v6 engine while "engine is off and cooled overnight", now after 3 weeks i poured in the product, i only have to add in 2 floz of coolant to radiator today! Amazing! It seems to stop the leak no more coolant loss! I will check back in 4 weeks to see how much coolant i have to add to top off by then. But the result looks very promising.! Updating @ 11/23/22, After i used this product and replaced another radiator cap and checked every month on coolant level, seems like the new cap works and the radiator will suck coolant from the reservoir tank as normal and the coolant level only reduced a tiny bit every month when checked. So i went from checking every month to checking every 3 months and not really much coolant lost! This Bar's Leaks saved my engine! I have been driving this 4 Runner for 2 more years so far and not having any overheating or burning coolant issues. THUMBS UP! Update@12/12/2025, engine is still running smoothly everyday. Checking coolant reservoir level every 6 months and only find about less than 1 inch in reduction. Excellent product that worked. I will definitely recommend this to everyone but hope I will not have to "buy it again"~
