Review: Pretty effective. - Seems pretty effective, within reason. I have drone footage that I move back and forth from my primary SSD and with this active heat sink on both drives, it takes a couple of minutes before the drives throttle down their throughput. Before, I'd get 10 seconds, tops. They're on the same bus, so it's the fastest data transfer I've ever witnessed on my machine. I don't know all the intricacies of read/write IO or buffering, I just noticed a considerable performance increase with cooling vs none. RGB is nice to put in sync with some of the other lighting my rig came with too. So, unless all you do is make bulk transfers between drives, these little active sinks work quite well, and I can see them keeping game loading times to a minimum.
Review: 50C to 34C. A must have for high-performance NVMEs - I'm absolutely blown away with the performance of this little NVME cooler. The heat-sink on this thing is MASSIVE in comparison to an actual nvme size and the two thermal strips that go above and below the nvme must do a lot of work in terms of cooling. The heat-sink and cooler itself is surprisingly heavy and the RGB is beautiful. It comes with a tiny screwdriver and installing it is a breeze. Once you place the thermal strips on and unscrew the heatsink, you place the NVME in between the bottom slate and the heat-sink and close it. After that, the nvme becomes one with the heat-sink/cooler and you just install it like normal. The nvme is daisy chain compatible and the fan plugs into any fan slot on the motherboard. I cannot hear the fan at all no matter how close I get to it. When everything is done, the results speak for themselves. 16C drop... unreal. For the price and the performance, it seems like a no brainer. I'd imagine even without the fan, this would drop the temperature like crazy due to the massive heat-sink. The best part of all, it's aesthetically beautiful. It literally looks like a mini-GPU. One of the best computer accessories I've ever purchased.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Keeps my NVMe at 50C or under especially when playing Star Citizen.
*by A***S on October 25, 2025*

Works a lot better than I expected, was afraid I would have to modify my z790 ROG Hero Maximus motherboard in some way but it ended up fitting just fine. Has great airflow and keeps my Samsung 990 Evo Plus and 970 Evo from getting hot like it use to, they use to get to 70C now when I play Star Citizen they get about 50C or less. Sold construction and good quality. I very much recommend this. I need to get a 3rd asap.
