Review: Would be a great trainer - I enjoy shooting pistols frequently, so I will review this from an avid shooter's perspective. Fit and finish- 5 stars Crossman really did their homework when they developed this pistol. It feels like many of the striker-fired polymer handguns on the market today. I would say it falls somewhere between a full sized Glock and a S&W m&p. I know why they call it a PSM 45, this is a BIG bb pistol. Probably about the same size as a Glock 21 or a 4.5" springfield xd-45. This could easily be mistaken for a real handgun based on appearance, weight and feel. I don't know if this is a good or bad thing. Trigger- 3 stars No surprise here, so I wont fault Crossman too hard. It has a very squishy and vague breaking point, but it is easy enough to figure out once you shoot it a few times. However, it should be noted that it feels nothing like any firearm I have shot. Also, there is no reset, if you like to leave your finger depressed on the trigger and cock it (like when practicing dry fire). I think the no reset is normal for single shot bb guns, just something to get used to for a training module. Sights - 5 stars The sights are good. Not too much gap in the rear notch and easy to line up. The grip angle is similar to a Glock, so if you are used to shooting 1911 style pistols, it will feel as if you are pointing down at more of an angle. The sight profile is also similar to a Glocks sight picture, however there is only one dot on the front sight and nothing on the rear (no goal post? Fine with me). The sights are molded to the frame, so if you want to adjust bust out the nail file. Shooting and Aiming- 5 stars I realize that all guns are different, even the ones made at the same factory on the same day within the same hour. However, mine shoots great. It shoots a little high from 3-5yards, but at 7-10 yards, it is on point. Also, windage seems to be fine at all distances, it just shoots high at shorter distances. It should be noted that this thing shoots SLOW! probably only a few hundred FPS at best, I didn't bust out the chrono, but for what I am using it for it is perfect. I just want to shoot cardboard boxes in my house, not worry about redoing my drywall. Reloading- 5 stars There is a magazine catch button behind the trigger guard (like most semi-auto pistols) that releases the magazine. The magazine is solid steel with a milled cavity for BBs to go into. There is a spring-loaded feeder that has a detent at the bottom, so you can lock out the spring and fill the magazine without any resistance or interference from the spring. Value- 1 million stars This is a great BB gun. If you want something to train with that will help you learn the basic mechanics of shooting, this is hard to beat. I paid $28+tax and this feels just like a normal pistol. I think this would be a valuable training tool for anyone learning to shoot, or veterans who want to keep their edge in the comfort of your own home. Also, BBs are dirt cheap and reusable, if you can find them
Review: FIX JAMMING WITH OIL - Crosman did a good job with this fun little pistol. I have shot other spring bb guns and this is by far the best one . I really like the metal slide , the clickclack sound it makes when cocked is very satisfying. The pistol looks good , feels good in the hand and its easy to cock. The clip was well thought out , easy and fast to load. There is metal insidethe clip to give it weight When the magazine release button is pressed the clip drops right out no problem . The trigger has a lot of creep but lighter then expected. It's not very acuret or powerful , I don't know of any spring powered bb pistols that are acuret. I have been shooting spring pistols for the past 25 years and this is the best one I have ever encountered. I enjoy shooting cans @ 5 / 10 yards . Not needing CO2 makes this gun a winner. It's always ready to go. I did have a problem with jamming but found out the gun needs to be oiled were the clip slides in.. 1 . Unload the gun / take clip out 2 . Put safety on fire. 3 . Cock the gun until it clicks and hold slide back. This will exspos the bb loading mechanism. 4 . Tip the gun upside down and put 3 drops of crosman pellet gun oil were the magazine slides in. Or you can just put some oil on the tip of your clip to get the oil were it needs to be inside the gun. I have shot hundreds of daisy bbs and haven't had a jam since oil has been applied .

Just don't. It worked fine for 2 weeks and suddenly the seer stopped catching the trigger. It didn't include any instructions for field stripping and cleaning, otherwise I'd probably fix it myself. I suspect a plastic part that wears out quickly. I also suspect the manufacturer hopes you'll get bored with it before it breaks, toss it to the side and forget about it. Too bad really, it's exactly what I needed to keep the squirrels out of the corn crib. I have no interest in killing them as a CO2 type pistol with a higher fps would, just a tap on the butt for deterrence. Did you know a squirrel can leap 20ft+ with the right motivation? Very disappointed in Crosman, they had a good rep at one time. If this was a real pistol I could probably get a machined trigger kit for 10 bucks and be happy to pay a little more for it, but no, Crosman just cheaped out and pushed this junk over the counter thinking people won't pay for quality. * Pro tip: an orange tip on the barrel would enhance the safety and prevent somebody dying over a bb gun. Also, the mag design is cute but useless if you can't get a spare mag.
