They’re just plastic trays. But if you have any indoor/outdoor plants these make much better plant saucers than those clear plastic ones (that often cost more than these). The clear plastic ones also crack pretty easily and then you have water all over your floor. These are really sturdy and have held up well over time. I also use one of these under my iced tea maker. I found that small amounts of tea would drip onto my counter after every use, and now at least the mess is contained. The 14" seemed a little small originally but I have found it a nice size for serving.
