The material is plush and soft. As soon as I put them on, my feet said, "Ahhh..." My left foot swells a lot so I need adjustable slippers. The part that goes over the top of your foot is not too big that it rubs into my leg and the velcro doesn't rub on my feet which I have had a problem with on other slippers. These slippers stay on my feet well and I wear them all over the house from hardwood to carpet. I'm a 9 1/2 and the large is like a size 10 so they are a little long at the back but I don't notice it at all. I like them so much that I ordered a second pair for when these wear out and before they don't have my size anymore. I just received my pair & I’ve ordered two more pair in different colors. I purchased a woman’s size Large after measuring my foot & using their size chart. I normally wear a 10 wide width shoe because of swelling issues & a size Large on their chart fits a 9-10 foot size. I am 6’2” tall, weigh 175, & I have severe disabilities from neuropathies & arthritis & have trouble finding anything that will work for my feet. Not only do these fit true to my size, but the adjustability is perfect. In the morning I have it pulled snuggly to my foot & by the evening I was able to change the position for the swelling. They stay on because I can adjust them so I feel safe in that I won’t trip from a larger size falling off. The fabric is soft so it doesn’t irritate my skin & the bottom is cushioned enough for comfort but not so much as to cause me to feel off balanced. I use a cane & walker so that’s very important for me.
