Although the gospel of Thomas origins are in question, the message in his testimony resonates with truth and insight. After reading the passages it is understandable why an organization seeking control and power would omit his words. It is a little esoteric, but if you read it, then pray and seek understanding, your intuition will make sense of the teachings with time. I have read the passages a number of times over a few weeks. Each time I learn something new about myself and find a closer connection with my Creator. I do not agree with all the opinions of the author of the book, but some of the observations made are insightful. My 2 cents is that if you really are a Christian, then you owe it to yourself to learn all you can about Jesus. Listen to your heart for the truth. Do not be fearful of information! Fear does not equal Faith; the two emotions are mutually exclusive. When I read this commentary I couldn't put it down. It resonated with me as a commentary in the gnostic/mystical tradition of Jesus. This commentary points to pneumatic enlightment which, as I understand it, is the purpose of the pathway of gnosticism as a whole. This is not about literalistic Christianity. This book serves as a readable introduction to the initiation that leads us to our mystical journey with Christ. In my opinion, anyone who is consciously interested in their mystical journey of Christ Consciousness will enjoy and benifit from reading this profound work by Tau Malachi. While this jouney is both internal and personal as it unfolds it is shared with everyone we meet as we learn it. It can also be said that each one of us is already on this journey. So, this book then can be, again in my opinion, be an accelerant to the completion of our shared journey to our mystical union with Christ.
