Unfortunately, we have never had one that was very comfortable due to the bar on the frame under the mattress. We looked at several Murphy beds, and this one checked all the boxes: price, size, ease of use, appearance, and sturdiness. Assembling it was an occasional challenge (the pictures were a bit confusing at times), but it worked out. It was definitely a 2-person job. My only real complaint is that the bed support at the foot of the mattress is very loose and can't be tightened. It doesn't affect the functionality or comfort, but it's a little annoying. My son and 5 year old grandson used the bed for 5 nights and they both said it was very comfortable.
