I have been dealing with some areas of breakout on my skin and this serum has really helped to clear these up, and even with a very minimal ingredients list , it's effective, I cannot say I've seen a difference to the fine lines on my face but the texture of my skin has improved.I would class this as an oil and not a serum , which is personal choice, it's a very watery squalane base and a little goes a very long way, remember , products other than cleansers should "grip not slip" ....(stolen from Caroline Hirons) if you use the correct amount in my case 4 drops, I get nice facial, neck & chest coverage.For the price this is a good product with really good benefits, remember when using anything with a retinol producing effect in the skin it's imperative to wear SPF, because if you don't , you will seriously damage your skin and undo all the good work of great skincare.I would say having tried many other similar products , this is a super entry level retinol, don't be put off by the stregth percentage, it's very gentle and won't upset your skin, however I would always urge patch testing anything with an active ingredient before using it all over your face.I am looking forward to exploring more from TrueVits and this product has the @beyondthedressingtable stamp of approval. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Great at reducing blemishes & blackheads *by C***G on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 on 9 October 2018* I was gifted this product by the brand to test and I have to say that on the whole I'm pretty impressed. I use this product in a targeted way on my chin, and nose, where I get the most blemishes/blackheads, and on a patch of hyperpigmentation on my cheek and fine lines on my forehead. It's honestly worked incredibly at reducing the number of blemishes I get, and how long it takes for them to heal. It's also largely improved the look of my blackheads. In terms of hyperpigmentation and fine lines, I haven't seen the biggest difference.If you're looking for a serum to help reduce the appearance (and frequency) of your blemishes and blackheads, without making your skin really dry, then I'd definitely give this a go. I like the dropper applicator, which makes this serum easy to apply.The main drawback is that I find the texture to be a little bit greasy, and it often feels like it doesn't absorb all the way into my skin. I have used other 2.5% retinol serums which I found to be more effective-- for me this one seems more like .5%- 1%. Perhaps it has to do with the size of the bottle and the effectiveness degrading over time?That being said I am reasonably happy with this, and do think it is good value for money.
