This switch works great! Was easy to install even though it's a bit different, see 2nd picture, than other standard switch screw terminals or the wire leads on the back of other bigger name brand smart switches. Body is standard size for a smart switch so fit in a standard box. Once installed and power turned back on it was easy to add to the app/rename and discover with Alexa. I estimate the total install took me 30 mins.I've purchased two of these now and will be looking for a dimmer model in the near future.Great product and highly recommend.O and I almost forgot to mention the other bigger name smart switches I have get warm, all three of them. The two of these switches I have run cool to the touch which leads me to believe they have less phantom draw as heat dissipation = power use

So after having installed a competing brand smart light switch and not having any success with respect to making the connection to Alexa I purchased this (Aicliv) light switch through Amazon. Not only was the price better for this product it also works very well and is easy to install and setup. These are the steps you need to take to connect the light switch to Alexa. 1. Install the switch manufacturers app and create an account (do not add a device yet) 2. Open Alexa and go to your smart skills and find the app associated with the switch manufacturer. 3. Enable the skill and link Alexa to your switch manufacturers app account. 4. Now go back to the switch manufacturers app in this case Smart Life and add device. 5. Once recognized Alexa will confirm that a device has been added and she will say the name of the device that you have chosen. I hope this procedure helps everyone who purchases this great product.

I have an existing switch box that controls 1 light. When removing the existing switch, I found that the neutral wire was just a continuous run through the box. I had to cut the neutral to connect it to this switch. Everything works fine.

The switches work as advertised with fairly easy installation. They are pressure sensitive which would seem to be a plus - no moving parts to wear out. The one problem I had was using the switch with a faceplate that did not come with it. Its made to snap into place on its own faceplate. I needed to place the switch in a double gang box (two switches side by side) so I needed to use a different faceplate. It fits, but I had a little trouble lining it up flush with the faceplate - maybe my error, but I made do. I would recommend them, i got them for a good price on a lightning deal.

The product is not bad; it works well once you have completed the painful setup.To complete the setup you have to enable smart life within the Amazon Alexa app under skills, to do this, you must create an account with the company that makes the switch and log in, then link your account to your Alexa account. Once that is done, you can discover the switch via Alexa. This is just too much of a pain to install. With the Phillips hue bulb I plugged it in, and Alexa knew it was there, the setup was done, that is the way all the smart devices should work. I should not have to set up some third-party app, link it to my information, (which they probably sell) just to get a switch to work.The switch itself looks nice and works quickly, almost no delay. It is strange not to have a physical switch at all as it is purely touch, it does, however, make the sound a switch when you touch it. Wiring was simple, and it was nice not to have to try and cram extra connected wires into the gang box. The switch just has some nice set screws the wires are tightened in with. Also, the switch has a very robust frame not some flimsy metal.If I could give it 3.5 stars I would as the product works well, but the setup of an anoth account is ridiculous.

Love this switch, everything you need is in box. Comes with two wires for the ground and natural wire. Easy to install fits with no problem.

We got got this switch for one of the downstairs bathroom, little by little our whole house is getting smarter that the rest in the neighborhood :DIt requires a neutral wire and it works as advertised, the indicator light is useful specially in super dark places, you do not need to have alexa or google home, you al simply use the "smart life app" , we use it with alexa and google app, however is good to know that you do not need them! and that you have the control always in your hands!It is also very easy to set up the timing at which you want the lights to go on or off!
