The crank end pieces loosen as you pedal forward...the threads are in the wrong direction. This is a major issue..will cause it to not shift. The chain keeps coming off due to this..I am a bit older so this bike is not used and abused..have only got about 30 miles on flat surface on it. A larger frame size would be necessary for anyone taller than 5'9" in order to extend the legs to the pedals properly.
