Review: Good price for good sprayer - Light weight and works good. I wish the pump was quarter turn to remove tater than having to spin the top off 360 degrees. Would buy again though for the performance and price.
Review: Solo sprayers are high quality - I love Solo sprayers. They are worth the extra money. The sprayer I am replacing leaked Roundup on my hand so I had to wear vinyl gloves. The instructions are on the box in Spanish on one side and English on the other. desertcart placed the shipping label on the English side covering the instructions. I guess they never thought to use one of the sides without instructions. I will need to get my Spanish dictionary out to make sure I don’t miss any safety warnings. 😂

Pumping it up seems like taking baby steps to walk around the block. By the time the liquid level reaches the bottom, you will have needed about 120 strokes to maintain 30 psi. One reason is that the stroke is only 8". The tank is tall enough for a 14" stroke, meaning you could maintain pressure with only 68 strokes. I find it "too easy" to pump. If the bore were 40% bigger and it had a 14" stroke, it would need only 34 strokes to empty it at 30 psi. I accepted it until it failed to hold pressure overnight. That meant that any time I needed a squirt, I might have to pump it up all over again. I found the air leak by pumping it up and leaving it inverted overnight with perhaps 3" of water. In the morning, the pressure was gone and the floor was still dry. The only possibility that was above water was the rubbery disk at the bottom of the pump. I used a pair of knives to pop it out. I wiped it and the mating surface, then applied a little silicone grease. Now it holds pressure indefinitely. I don't know how to take the pump apart for cleaning. Maybe it won't need cleaning. The air intake is small, and the handle covers it when it's in the locked position. I went over the gallon and liter markings with a magic marker so I could see them. The screen behind the nozzle looks easy to clean, but it's very hard to push the rubbery base in and out past the threads. It doesn't seal against the threads, so there's no need for it to be so tight. The advertisement says it comes with an assortment of four nozzles but doesn't describe them. Actually, it's three: one is a two-piece nozzle with a round pattern. The adjustable nozzle will do about the same thing. The third is a fan nozzle. That was the one I wanted for carpet cleaning. A fan nozzle can wet a carpet more evenly than my machine, and it can wet a strip narrow enough for the wheels to straddle so they won't roll on soggy carpet. The included fan nozzle has an 80 degree spread, meaning 20" wide from a height of 12". Such a wide pattern makes it hard to maintain a certain width. It dispenses only about 1 liter per minute. I wanted to lay down the water faster so I could pick it up before it went through the backing. On their site, Solo advertises a 1 gpm flat nozzle. I ordered it. The invoice and the label on the plastic pack said it was 1 gpm, but I got only 0.07 gpm. The markings in the brass said it was a 0.1 gpm Teejet. Online, customer service had me fill out a form explaining my problem. That was about a month ago. I haven't heard from them, and they're still advertising that nozzle as 1 gpm. Another Amazon vendor supplied a 1 gpm nozzle with a 40 degree spread. Perfect! I get .64 gpm because the Solo has less pressure and more restriction than the equipment for which the nozzle was designed. That's enough to suit me. My Chapins couldn't produce such a high flow even if big nozzles were available for them. With the big nozzle, the Solo 430 will help clean carpets. Outside, it will rinse off soapy water after washing. I can keep it handy when I might need to nip a fire in the bud. Still, the pump is needlessly laborious. The screen doesn't fit easily. Solo wrongly advertised the number of nozzles and didn't describe them well. They wrongly advertised the nozzle that they sold me, and they ignored my complaint. If I knew then what I know now, I think I would have spent more money for a Smith backpack sprayer. UPDATE: I bought a Field and Stream backpack sprayer because it has the range to spray apple trees without the trouble of repeatedly setting up and climbing a stepladder. The adjustable nozzle produced a flow that was undesirably high and droplets that were undesirably big. It seems that getting the right nozzle can be a problem with any sprayer. The adjustable nozzle from the Solo fit and did the job much better. It's not a bad sprayer, but I wish customer service were better and the pump had more volume.
