Anywhose, the price is very difficult to beat. The two-way paging system is excellent. I only use the shock sensor and the paging portion. I do not fancy the power door locks, etc., because this is easy to defeat in almost any alarm sys. Besides, with a convertible top, just cut the top open, no? Anywhose, place the antenna away from metal in an open area, if you can. On a Miata, the antenna fits well just behind the right-side of the passenger seat. That way, the antenna belts out a strong S-9er radio signal in all directions. I was able to control the alarm from over 300 feet away while inside of an elevator of a steel building. I am surprised that you do not need an FCC license in order to operate such. The control console has zillions of output options. You can even control some of the options via the remote. For instance, you can change the trunk pop into an ignition kill switch just be sure that you know what you are doing so that this does not function while you are on the motorway.
