The synthetic leather is holding up to the daily use. I let them air dry in my garage. After a couple weeks of using them they don't have any smell. The palm of the glove is breathable mesh. I have the 10oz glove and it provides enough protection for my hands when I hit the heavy bag with power punches. Be sure to use wraps with any gloves you use. Always support your wrists and knuckles.
