The Nisaku Karibaraigama mowing sickle is a wonderfully handy tool for those quick trimming jobs around the edges of planted beds, walkways, & other areas. The efficient design with an attractive & ergonomic, long wood handle reduces back strain.

Review: What a Marvelous Tool! - It arrived incredibly sharp and I was able to catch up on my (overgrown) trimming amazingly fast. I have a quarter mile walking trail and I trimmed that too and this lightweight thing is still sharp enough to cut some big stuff at the edge of my yard ( I live in a wooded area). The 2 foot handle makes it easy to reach back under trees and brush to clear the undergrowth. It has lost some of its edge, so I ordered some whetstones, and as soon as I learn how to sharpen it without damaging the blade, I'm going to order another. I'm probably putting it through more stress than it was meant to endure, so if it breaks, I want to have a backup on hand. I can't say enough good things about this little tool. No more weed eaters for me!

I have five acres and find it hard to get to all of them every week so things get very tall. NOT ANYMORE! I am 5'5" tall and this is a perfect length handle for me. I carry a whetstone but on the first day of using it, I didn't need to use it. Often the tools I buy take a beating from surprise rocks in the path of my swing. This blade hasn't been tested that way but it is excellent at Japanese Knotweed that has thick stems when it is old. Japanese barberry is no match. LOVE THIS TOOL!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good for clearing

Takes out blackberries, ivy, and stubborn grasses. The length is great for getting a long sweep in to cut and the stainless blade is more forgiving in rocky terrain. I didn't notice in the picture that the blade is angled from the handle but it works to keep the blade overall level with the ground.
