What 's the difference between Tamari sauce and soy sauce?** A: I've read tamari is traditionally a uniquely Japanese product originally produced as a byproduct of miso paste. It is supposed to be somewhat more balanced and have a somewhat richer, less salty flavour. It is also much easier to find gluten-free tamari soy sauce than gluten-free soy sauce, though it needs to be labelled as such; not all tamari is gluten-free. That's what I've read; I'm buying it for the first time myself. **Q: This isn’t really for 6 half gallon containers is it? That’s a typo right?** A: I am not sure what the description said when I ordered it but it is almost one 1/2 gallon. Not 6 half gallons. **Q: is this sweet?** A: No, soy sauce has more of a salty like than sweet flavor. It's a savory flavor, to me it almost tastes beefy. That might just be my taste buds though. It's very tasty.
