Stetson Men's Fairway Bucket Hat

A Fairway or Bucket hat can be different things to different people, and what it is is typically dictated by 1) maker (brand), 2) cost and 3) how or where it is worn. If a person just needs to keep the sun of their dome and out of their eyes, any "$9 Made in China bucket hat" will do the job. But if one wants to make a statement of style and taste, one will spend the money to get a quality hat--I thought that I had done just that in buying this Stetson.For the most part, it met the mark. The stitching is solid but not entirely symmetrical--quality hats usually meet thisbasic expectation, but not this Stetson. Also, there were a few long threads over sewn that needed to be picked and clipped but not an big deal. I just expected more from Stetson.The bigger deal to me is the vendor shipping the hat in a bubble-padded envelope. These hats are not designed to be washed or ironed...so why stuff them into a flat envelope that causes unsightly creases? Do they seriously believe that I have a hat form and steamer in my home? If the vendor wants to offer free shipping in a padded envelope, they need to advise the customer so that they can elect for a more protective shipping method at cost. I mean, would I rather pay $12 for shipping in a box or $20 to have the hat steam pressed? Pretty easy decision...After all, someone who has the option to buy a $9 bucket but elects to buy the $30 Stetson in all likelihood does not want to look like Rocky Balboa's slob of a brother-in-law "Pauly" in his new hat!

Shipped in an envelope and arrived as flat as a pancake. It came back to shape ok but had a few wrinkles that disappeared after a couple of days. I bent the brim down in the front for more of a short brim fedora or trilby look. Not sure why they call it a bucket hat, because it’s not - it’s more a porkpie than anything else...anyway, the brim bent forward easily. It’s a good look- I hope it lasts. The material on the top of the hat is pretty thin, but overall I really like it. The XXL just fit my enormous size 8 head.

My go-to hat. I just toss it on and it good to go sun or rain. So comfortable I can wear it all day.

Great hat. Packed in a way that protected the brim, but the top was crushed down so now there's a crease. This particular bucket style with the top rim should stand up straight....

It's actually slight big, but barley. I love this hate. It's a little stylish, but more than that it's practical. It fits the function of what a hat is supposed to do. Protect your head from the sun and even rain (water proof). I would like to get more in other colors.

I didn’t like the fact that it was shipped in a flat envelope. I had to iron out the wrinkles to help get rid of the wrinkles. Other than that it’s a nice hat and very sturdy not floppy like others. It did fit me a little large to where the wind could possibly knock it off my head. I will keep it as my to go hat for the weekends and will purchase a smaller size for days that are too windy.

Brought this for fishing! Hat fits perfect size large you adjust the brim to what ever suits. Would definitely recommend!Only down side is it was a bit creased when it was delivered needs to be boxed not flat packaging?

I like this hat. The size estimate was ok ish but it’s still a bit large and I have a large head. Would be good to have a uk cm sizing. The worst aspects are the poor quality of the stitching and some dye issues, all to do with the hat band. It’s pretty poor for a Stetson brand hat albeit it’s made in Sri Lanka

I love this hat - fantastic for sunny summer weather. The medium fits my small head.
