It was confusing and I didn't understand how to work it. All I wanted to do was be able to log my own workouts and it would track my heat rate and calories. The new software update fixed everything that was bad about the old software. It looks much nicer and is easier to control. For instance, when I want to start my gym workout, I just press the up key until I hit gym workout then the middle key to start. I love the graphs that it shows you on the app or online for heat rate and I especially like the color scheme they have for heart rate. I don't think any other smart watch or workout watch has a feature like this. When it is monitoring a continuous heart rate (when you're at the gym/doing a workout) it always shows a bar on the left with a color (white, blue, green, yellow, red) indicating what heart rate zone you are currently in. For instance if I am in the white or blue zone I know I need to step it up because my heart rate isn't in a good range for working out, like the green range is for heat rates between 147-167 bpm. It syncs via bluetooth to the app so you don't have to plug it in. The charge lasts a long time like it will last me a couple weeks before I have to recharge, which charging is super short like an hour. I like working with the app or online to see my progress and calendar and being able to put notes into your workout. It also allows you the ability to put what shoe was worn during the workout, so you can see when your shoes might be worn out. It has many other features like running workouts or training plans (training for a 5k or marathon, etc) or individual workouts or gym workouts. It has interactive coaching for the various workout plans and will tell you what equipment is needed for a workout. It also allows you to set goals for yourself, like how many calories you want to burn throughout the day or how long you want to be in various heart rate zones or how many steps you want to take. It tells you your progress towards your call on the left side with a green bar that will continuously raise as you get closer to your goal. I enjoy the fact that it counts resting calories as well as working out calories so I can see my total for the day. The look of the watch is nice, I always get people asking or complimenting about my watch. Overall, I love using this watch and will continue to use this watch because I believe (even though it isn't as famous as fitbit or jawbone) that this watch is superior to other sports watches on the market today. ### ⭐ As a professional personal trainer who uses this watch daily and has recommended to many of my clients- it was a great ... *by H***. on April 11, 2018* Do not buy before you find out about the additional expense. As a professional personal trainer who uses this watch daily and has recommended to many of my clients- it was a great fitness watch, then started having problems with gps, heartrate and other functions. The FREE Adidas train and run app that came with it, unknown to me, has been deleted and along with that the functions of the watch. Spoke to adidas customer service and they did not know how to fix issues-clueless. I found out by going to their site to sign in micoach.com/fitsmart that you are redirected to a new company runtastic = monthly fees. not what i purchased, very sneaky.. Amazon still sells these and in opening details now says run and train app no longer available as of Feb. but did not see a detail about additional charges. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Rad Pulse, but beware... Adidas seems set to kill miCoach in by 2019. *by J***T on October 11, 2016* So far, really easy to use and the app has worked flawlessly! If all remains the same, I will be a very happy camper! Using it to train for a 1/2 marathon in Feb 2017, and I think this device is going to really help. I find the Celeb athletes' voices of report and encouragement are strangely motivating. Also, absolutely love being free from a chest straps. So long, and good riddance!Update: Today ran in full sun. As a result of the bright ambient light, the display was impossible to see without creating a bit of shade with my opposing hand. Not ideal, but it works.Warning: Adidas bought Runtastic (a cellphone-based "run" tracking app/platform). Fit Smart isn't designed to work with Runtastic, although Adidas claims that the heart rate will connect; as yet, I haven't even been able to get Runtastic to do even that. The MiCoach app, the one Fit Smart was spacifically designed to work with, will die as of the end of 2018. All the great advance functions that this watch offers will end then, too. Adidas is abandoning this concept, and all the customers who have bought into the idea as well. I am disappointed! I thought tthe company had created a very decent product.. probably the best that has been on the market. Too bad.
