Review: BEST EASY PIZZA OVEN EVER!! - OK seriously, best oven ever!!! I LOVE this thing! I have used it once so far and everything I made turned out fantastic! So fantastic, in fact, that my daughter told me it's the best pizza she ever had (she ate way too much)! I didn't take any pictures b/c I was trying to keep up with the eaters! They were gone before I even thought about taking pictures of the results. Trust me, they were awesome! It took about 3-1/2 minutes per pizza on the Neopolitan setting (I turned them around twice during cooking) but they turned out perfect! I even made some Lebanese zaatar bread, which was freaking FANTASTIC! I plan to also try Lahm B'ajeen (Lebanese style meat pizza) to see how it would turn out. This time, I tried two different doughs to see which would work better with this oven - one dough was King Arthur unbleached '00 pizza flour (which says to let it rise outside the fridge for 24 hours), AND I also tried my own dough recipe using King Arthur unbleached all purpose flour which was made the same day and rose only about an hour. I made pizza and zaatar on both types of dough to see which worked better, and BOTH turned out amazing! I can't wait to use this pizza oven again! I haven't tried anything other than pizza-style items in it yet but even if all I use it for is pizza and manooshi (zaatar bread), it's totally worth it! ONE TIP: Do not use a metal peel for the uncooked dough. I had to use tons of flour in order for the metal peel to release the pizza into the oven, and the flour burned and made a mess. So instead, use a WOODEN pizza peel with just a little flour to release the pizza into the oven, then you can use a metal pizza peel to turn the pizza a couple times during cooking, then also remove it with the metal one. Just use wood to release the uncooked pizza in the oven for no sticking, then use the metal to turn it and remove it. I ended up buying a long cleaning brush for cleaning afterward (due to all the flour that burned b/c I was using a metal peel initially. But I won't make that mistake again.) Tips for delicious pizza: After adding pizza sauce, add fennel & italian seasoning, then proceed to add your toppings - it makes all the difference. If you wanna make Zaatar bread, just put the zaatar seasoning in a small glass bowl with olive oil and mix well, then put it on your uncooked dough (the only topping). Both are SOOOO good!! I'm very impressed with you, Ninja! By the way, you can only put one pizza in there, and it must be a 12" square or less, so when you buy a peel, make sure it's no bigger than 12". ENJOY Y'ALL! 2ND TIME USED - okay so the 2nd time I used it, I rolled out the dough really thin and used mozzarella slices, instead of freshly shredded. That was a mistake. I still put it on the Neopolitan setting, which I shouldn't have with thin crust. The mozzarella slices caused too much liquid, so the toppings slid right off the crust after cooking. So don't use mozzarella slices, only shredded cheese that isn't filled with a ton of moisture. I also noticed that was a terrible combination with thin crust. Yes, it's a learning curve, but still produces the best tasting pizza ever. For thin crust, it has a separate setting, but I didn't use it so I can't say how long it would have taken, especially with all the moisture from the mozzarella slices. I still stand by my original review - best pizza ever. Don't make your crust too thin if you're using the Neopolitan 700 degree setting. OR if you do make it thin and keep it on that setting, make sure your toppings aren't heavy. I did thin dough crust with a thin layer of zaatar & oil, and those turned out perfectly. Even with the mistakes I made, the pizza still tasted fantastic! Very much recommend this oven b/c no pellets or fires or dealing with propane, etc. This is plug & play! OK seriously, best oven ever!!! I LOVE this thing! I have used it once so far and everything I made turned out fantastic! So fantastic, in fact, that my daughter told me it's the best pizza she ever had (she ate way too much)! I didn't take any pictures b/c I was trying to keep up with the eaters! They were gone before I even thought about taking pictures of the results. Trust me, they were awesome! This was a Christmas present for some real pizza snobs lol! I waited on my review just to see if they used it and if they liked it. Well, I have to say they love it!! I think they have been using it weekly since the new year. I have been treated to it as well and I have to say it works great and is delicious. They are playing around making different dough and perfecting cooking time as well. We bought the stand and side table, cover and pizza peel as well which makes it complete and very easy to use. Highly recommend for the price.
