This is a plastic kennel designed for a lifetime of use. Our plastic crate will be your “go to” everyday home crate and Travel kennel. Please head to http: //SportPet/kennel sizing. We include everything you need should you chose to ever fly with your dog. Check out our VIDEO here on this page for a quick tour of kennel features. Crate/ kennel assembly is fast and easy. Locking snaps hold the kennel halves together; additional included metal hardware locks the kennel together giving you peace of mind that your crate will make it safe and secure. Some dogs chew their escape through plastic ventilation holes. We use metal slats to mitigate the chewing problem and keep your pet safe. Accident moat pulls spills away from your pet’s body, out to the edges of the kennel strong metal kennel door with a smooth, easy-to-grasp latch thick impact resistant poly shell can take a wallop and keep on going pet parents should check with their airline before a trip. Review: We used this crate for our trip to California from YYZ, and it worked perfectly. Our furbaby is a mini Aussiedoodle, and while we probably could have gone with a smaller size, I’m so glad we chose this one. The extra space let him move around comfortably, just like in his crate at home. I was able to add a couple of his toys, one of his beds for padding, and even our shirts for scent and comfort—everything fit nicely and helped him feel safe and familiar. We also started preparing him for the trip in advance by doing daily “loops” around our condo with the crate. We called it his “plane room,” and used that phrase consistently to reinforce that going into the crate meant going on a plane ride. By the time travel day came, he was completely comfortable and confident inside it. The crate comes with easily removable wheels and all the required airline stickers, which made setup simple. The only small downside was that the airport zip ties only fit through one set of holes. Not a huge issue since the crate locks securely, but the airline prefers both the top and bottom zip-tied for extra security. The side windows were another plus—our pup could see what was happening as we wheeled him around the airport, which helped keep him calm. Overall, this crate made traveling so much smoother and gave us peace of mind knowing our furbaby was safe, comfortable, and prepared. Highly recommend for anyone flying with their dog!
