When it arrived, I noticed a very slight chip in the front glass, and irregular black striping around the pokeball itself. That said, the effect was cooler than I had thought. There was no music, though, and the light sometimes flashed erratically and sometimes changed smoothly between colors. If this had been for me, I would have considered keeping it, but as it was a gift, I returned it and re-ordered. Have yet to receive second product - it does take time to ship. In fact, the price went up from the time I first ordered to the time I received it. Am hoping the second one will be a keeper, although Amazon does make it very easy to return. Will try to remember to review the new one when it arrives, but it will be weeks yet. EDIT: Sadly, the second ball had some visible flaws and a fine webbing of scratches. Not too visible until lit, but as I was giving it as a gift to my son-in-law, I almost wish I had just kept the first one and let him decide if it bothered him too much (it bothered me). This time I contacted the seller for a refund, but they offered a discount. If it wasn't a gift, maybe, but as it is I would prefer a refund. Waiting for a second response; rating may change accordingly. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Eh... it's a cool concept. Needs work *by S***A on July 21, 2017* Worked well to start with, but the rotating base crapped out after two months of using every night as a nightlight for my kid. The music has no volume control and kind of annoying. I bought another base that still changes light, but doesn't rotate or play music. Crystal ball is not perfectly round, and the black band around it is crooked. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Crystal Clear *by M***U on January 31, 2017* Bought as a gift for my son. Definitely a hit! The crystal was heavier than I expected and it survived a drop onto the carpeted floor the same day. I was pleasantly surprised by the musical feature which sounded like a music box playing although it was a bit loud. I was unaware that base ships separately.
