**Q: Does this work on a Thule evolution cargo box?**
A: oh definitely you might have to move the location of one of the holes but you just plugged the other one or by the little cap for it works perfect

**Q: Is this intended as a rear strut or front strut?**
A: I believe it will work for either one. My box opens from both sides and it works just fine which leads me to believe they could work on either end of a single opening box
