I will say, however, the heat from the crushed red pepper is not overwhelming and provides a good flavor to the naturally oily Mackerel. They are truly good straight from the can, on a cracker, or with a bit of cooked rice. I bought the subscription to these as they are a better deal in this form. They’re also sold locally at a specialty market, but with a premium price tag. Review: I eat lots of Kipper snacks/ tins for lunch during the week and these were hands down the best I have ever had.
