It seems to be made of heavy duty construction and easy to use. Installing it by hand was a bit of a bear but very worth it. The old one worked great for many years but was getting rusty and the linkage was getting sloppy. I would highly recommend this product. Others have claimed their hydrant froze, that is because the rod needs to be adjusted, if the plunger does not shut off the water the stand pipe won't drain causing it to freeze.
