They did rub the top of my foot raw, so I needed to start wearing booties with them. That could have been caused by the sunburn I got on top of my feet after I took them off however. Also they are obviously not full sized fins, so you do have to work harder to get anywhere than with full-sizers. They did fit in my carryon and were much, much better than going barefoot on my last snorkel trip. I've been wearing these for a week now and have never had to work this hard. So if you are into water aerobics or just enjoy deep water walking then these are for you. The short fins don't give you much push and force you to work to get any type of monentum. You can get a great cardio workout without and strain or stress on the joints. When ordering the only suggestion I have is too check the size because I found the run a little on the large side. I'm a size 10.5 and according to the guide I should take the extra large. That is what I ordered.
