As a long time hypertension patient, I used manual , automatic and semi automatic BP monitor . This one works as semi automatic . It means you have to manually inflate the cuff instead automatic inflating the cuff. The upper sides are : a) it consumes less battery (for this one , it even does not need battery , it can draw power from smart phone or tablet ) , 2) it easier to carry around, 3) it would not over inflate to hurt your arm . With the APP , it can create some smart features like data memory , alarm. The bp monitor comes 3 connectors ( Micro USB , USB-C and 3.5mm audio . I tested on my iphone 6 . It may not work with new iPhone which does not have the earphone socket . The reading is in the range I get from other type of BP Monitor . ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great gift for my parent *by W***L on August 28, 2018* For my dad, this one better than those standalone device. It connected to the phone via app. Providing additional information. My dad is happy with it. ### ⭐ Order Incomplete - Missing Connecting Line *by B***T on September 12, 2018* I received the BP Cuff on 9/12/18 but the Connecting Line is missing. Also, the box states to download the application but does not state which app to download.
