If you're tired of flimsy can openers that break after a few uses, or struggle with larger cans, this is the tool for you (keep in mind, it's industrial, not a little homeowner can opener). This thing is built like a tank. The plated steel base is solid and provides excellent stability, even when opening taller, heavier cans. I've used it on everything from standard soup cans to larger Sam's sized large food cans, and it handles them all with ease. The long handle provides great leverage, making the opening process surprisingly smooth and requires minimal effort. The cutting blade is sharp and precise, cleanly slicing through the can lid without leaving jagged edges. It feels incredibly durable and I have no doubt it will last for years, even with frequent use. Our old one did get worn out (high school's concession stand), even when we oiled it, it was stubborn, so, longevity might depend on how much it's used/abused.
