VERY smooth operation. If they had made the side screw on cap (opposite of the handle) out of metal instead of plastic it would be much better. It feels weak and you will have to be very careful with it. One reviewer showed his broke. Even if they just made it of quality plastic that would work to. The handle it's is very nice.
