That’s what I do rather than the medical app as that would rely on the paramedic/ healthcare provider/ public etc, having a smartphone with QR reader. You also get a sticker with the QR code that can be put on the waterproof insert, however I think folding the insert warps the QR code. I got the adult version of this, not the child’s but it looks to be the same. I personally chose to have the card insert because I thought it was technology proof.
