I also wonder if folks are buying this, grabbing the battery, and returning the rest. I hope that the one that I just ordered has a battery, since it's only two weeks until I need the bed.I will pop back in if I ever get a working product and review it's comfort, ease of use, and durability.And I am back to turn my one star review into a five star. I got to our campsite and set up. It inflated itself while I worked on other things. I loved not having to babysit the air pump. Which always falls out, even if they're made by the same company! Seems easy enough to make sure the air vent is at the same height as the pump nozzle. But I digress. A quick and easy inflation does not a five star air mattress make. I sat on it while I built the rest of the furniture. Getting up was a little tricky, so I added a little more air. That was the last time I touched the controls until it was time to pack out. It just stayed inflated! That air loss that the other manufacturers say is just a normal part of air mattress use just didn't happen. At one point there were two people, well over 500 pounds in total and unevenly balanced, reclining comfortably on the bed and chatting for two hours. My partner slept on it one night and is completely sold, even after disavowing air mattresses forever on our last camping trip. Buy this mattress! The box I received said it was a battery powered pump. It mentions many times in the description of the item on Amazon that this is a battery powered pump. However, when I took the bed out of the bag, and opened the compartment door, where the battery is supposed to go in, Outcomes a 120 V power cord built into the pump. And no way to put a battery in that same compartment. This is an A/C powered pump. It’s like they packed the wrong bed into the right box. It did come with the battery - it just can’t be used with the bed.As well, the instructions for recharging the batteries show that it can be plugged in to either a wall outlet to charge, or a 12 V vehicle power jack. But the battery charger provided with the battery - yes, it did come with a battery, but again the battery does not go into the bed - only connects to a 120 V wall plug to charge. So if you are intending to use this bed for a remote camping trip with no power available, good luck recharging it unless you have a power inverter in your vehicle.To make things even worse, this can’t be returned through Amazon’s normal return process is. It Hass to be shipped back to the seller directly, via UPS, as in repackage the box and bed, drive it to a UPS drop off location. And hope they re-fund the money themselves. And their return instructions say they won’t even accept returns that don’t have some special authorization code, which isn’t provided by the shipping label that you print. So I’m not returning it.
