Whether sanding contours on wood moulding or trim, smoothing edges on cabinet face frames, or refinishing furniture, these low density foam sponge sanding pads will conform to any shape and let you sand without burning through. With their fast-cutting silicon carbide grain, made in USA quality, and ultra-flexible thermoplastic resin adhesive, these pads have some Serious Grit! Featuring a range of grits from 120 - 700 and an variety box option containing 120 - 600, Serious Grit will help you get the job done. Secondly, these pads don’t get clogged with sanded material nearly as quickly as the SP branded stuff. In the photo, this ONE pad was used to sand 40 linear feet of 5.25” base. This was sanding previously PAINTED boards removed for later reinstallation over new hardwood floors. In my mind, this is remarkably quality.

These pads are absolutely excellent and superior to the Surf Prep branded pads. Specifically, they are more flexible which allows the user to sand contours and crevices FAR more easily and efficiently. They work good. I would say great but the grit wears down quickly. I’ve used them on different substrates; metal, wood, and plastics with flawless results everytime. Durability isn’t the greatest as they will break while sanding any edge profile with moderate pressure. Overall good pads for the money. Price is reasonable, just buy a few extra than you think you need.
