She typically likes / wants the more expensive name brand leo's (GK Elite / professional gymnast lines) so I was worried about the fit and her getting past the lack of the name brand. She also usually purchases Adult Small's so took a chance on going with the teen sizes.Surprisingly, they looked and fit great! They looked a little big when I took them out of the package, but she's a petite teen gymnast who's still growing so they fit perfectly! She is a 7/8 in clothing lines like Gap and Old Navy. I ordered a 10/12 because I wanted her to be able to wear it for more than a season. This material does stretch and it looks nice but it is a bit scratchy & stiff and the suit doesn't give as much backside coverage as one would want for an 8 year old. My girl is constantly having to pull it out of her rear end - AKA "wedgie." She describes it as feeling "dry" and says it feels uncomfortable to her when she gets sweaty. She has now opted for shorts instead of this so this headed to one of the 6 year olds we know.
