Heavy Duty Swing Away Hitch Mounted Cargo Carrier with Basket 50"x20" with 2" Receiver for Tailgate, Picnics, Travel, Work, Storage, Or Camping

Pin so tight I can't get the unit to swing away unless I use and hammer and something to drive it out. I don't think this thing would hold 200lbs and be able to swing open. I'm afraid to put 200lbs on it totally, let alone the 600lbs they say it will carry in the closed position. Not cheap when compared to other stationary carriers.

I bought this to put on my conversion van, back doors swing out. Could not even get the swing out frame to work. Had to modify to make it work. It is extremely heavy, too heavy for me to put on and take off by myself as a senior woman. After the modification made to the swing out I then had to prop it up if there was any kind of weight left on the basket. The company probably had so many complaints that they don't even sell it anymore. Total waste of my dollars.

I have doubts about the weight rating when unit is swung out. It sagged down about 4-5 inchs with 40lbs on it when swung out. Other than that it seemed fine.

very poor chinese design. weak on the swing out. i had to modify the rack to meet my needs. would not recommend this rack if you're going to haul any weight without modifications.

It fit well worked well and was made good

The unit bent downward causing us to worry during our entire, and we learned to be causious due to dragging. We also used it with a 1.25” to 2” converter which added three inches in height. On the way home to strengthen the unit we reversed the center bar, but in doing so we could no longer swing the basket open in case we has to get in the back of the car. I’ll be taking the unit to get worked on as it’s so poorly made!

This hitch carrier is not worth the value paid. During assembly, not one hole lined up. Had to redrill to get it to fit together. Main Hitch Pin would not fit into 3 hole without using a hammer. The secondary Hitch Pin is under the rack. If you want to swing it open, you'll have to climb under the carrier and try and remove the pin from the side that is nestled inbetween the frame. Extrememly POOR design. I redrilled a new hole to put a secondary 5 inch pin in from the top. When swung to open position empty, the rack barely holds its own weight while drooping 6-8 inches. I attached an 16-22 in extendable trailer stabilizer leg to the underside. It folds away while stowed and driving. I wouldn't put a small igloo cooler on the rack with it swung open. It would bend to the ground. I would return it, but they state "Buyer is responsible for return shipping in original condition and box". Since I had to alter the holes to put it together, I could not return it. Also, 55lbs on UPS or FEDEX is over $100. Seller unresponsive to phone calls and voicemails.SAVE YOUR MONEY AND JUST DONT BUY THIS !!! MINUS 5 STARS if it would let me.
