I definitely would not give these to a vegan or vegetarian because of the gelatine and cochineal. I think she is okay with honey and beeswax as they are a bi product and not an actual bee! Shellac is crushed beetles.** A: You are thinking of E120 or cochineal, Shellac is a resin secreted and left by the female lac bug on trees.
