The grip is very sturdy and metal, as are the joints—I don’t have any concerns about my devices falling. I’m using it with my 75x75 VESA compatible 16” portable monitor, as well as my iPad. For the iPad (or other non-VESA devices) they include two metal stickers. I stuck one onto one of my iPad cases, and it works perfectly. Just keep in mind that the sticker is silver, not black. I will probably buy a 3rd party black one to blend in better with my iPad case. I also like that the stand folds up compact enough that I can easily fit it into my backpack. So... don't put it on anything heat generating. Also important to know, it comes with 2 magnetic discs and a vesa adapter mount with 4 little screws. Overall Great product, Functions perfectly and wasn't overly expensive. I have zero complaints. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Buyer Beware: No 1/4 20 thread! *by J***S on 23 March 2025* Pretty good, the magnet is strong, but the ball head the magnet is attached to doesn't hold much weight. The collar that tightens the ball head will probably break over time, but for the mean time it works for me. Just don't over tighten the collar!
