I keep several styles of masks/respirators on hand, this is the easiest to breathe in. With cold flu season upon us I do not go out in crowds unmasked-no one with copd ora compromised immune system should. Look at the Ebola patients supposed to be self monitoring taking flights and cruises instead. No one is going to stay home whether they are contagious with the common cold, norovirus, enterovirus and on and on. We can only protect ourselves as individuals and masks and sanitizer are simple aids to keeping healthy. So Christmas shopping will see me going shopping with the "duck" bill. That was a vital part of why I purchased these masks. I had to wear them on international flights, and in airports, knowing that there was no real seal. I have used the same masks before from another source but they had the fluid sheilds and it makes a huge difference. It is a thin layer of some type of plastic/silicon or something about 3/4 of an inch all around the part that is against the face.
