For chemically-treated hair, Moisture Acidifying Shampoo combines soothing moisturizing plant extracts with natural grapefruit alpha hydroxyl acids. The result is a gentle cleansing shampoo that is perfect for use after all chemical services, including color and bleach, where it can be used as a post-chemical application cleanser for moisturizing and pH balancing.

Cleans hear without over-drying
I recently switched to this from another shampoo that moisturized very well but took FOREVER to lather, resulting in a lot of wasted product (and money!). This lathers very well the first time with a small amount of product (it's marketed as being very concentrated, so a little goes a long way). When I first began using the Elucence line, I initially used the Moisture Benefits Shampoo. Over time, my hair grew to dislike it, and I ended up with very dry, tangled, and brittle-feeling hair after shampooing AND conditioning. I recently came back to the line and decided to use this shampoo instead, as I work out several days a week and wanted a shampoo that would remove build-up without drying my hair (my stylist uses this shampoo after chemical services to restore the hair to an optimal pH level, and the shampoo itself is marketed as having a chelating (removes mineral deposits) effect). So far, this shampoo has done just what I was hoping for, and my hair isn't a tangled mess after shampooing. The Elucence Moisture Balancing Conditioner seems to work better on my hair when used after this shampoo, so I'm pretty pleased so far. My hair tends to be protein-sensitive, so I think the difference in formulations between this shampoo (less proteins) and the Moisture Benefits one (more proteins) *may* be why I had less success with the Moisture Benefits shampoo. The icing on the cake is that this shampoo also has a great, refreshing grapefruit scent that lingers in the hair after washing.

PH balanced. Dread friendly
This shampoo is ph balanced which I struggle to find. Shampoo that is not ph balanced will dry your hair out. Especially if you shampoo often and without conditioner. I have dreadlocks and use oil to condition. Conditioner just made residue and required more stripping shampoo and dried and damaged my hair. This shampoo is perfect because it is not harsh so I use it weekly or bi-weekly without worry of dry hair. And is not harsh on my sensitive scalp yet effective enough to remove all dirt and debris from my head. It also has a great clean peachy smell It does not linger tho.You also don't need much I do two shampoos for a thorough clean using a quarter amount for shoulder length dreads. For those who don't know. Dreads can really eat through shampoo becoming quite costly. Before this shampoo I would use handfuls of shea moisture, organix, queen helene, herbal essences, vo5, mane and tail and shampoo bars to get clean hair.

Great
I have naturally tightly coiled hair and I purchased this shampoo as a chelating shampoo because I have hard water. Its supposed to chemically bind to the hard water minerals and help lift them away. It only takes a small amount to lather all of my hair on the first try. I have no idea if it actually works the way its supposed to, but I only use it once a month and my hair feels clean and light after. My curls are also more defined are using it. I really like that it uses natural ingredients like grapefruit juice to acidify my hair (which it should be naturally). It has a light citrus sent as well. I bought this over 6 months ago and still have over 1/2 of the bottle left (even after sharing with my sis-n-law).

Cleans without stripping hair
I have curly/wavy dry/colored hair and this shampoo works great in cleaning my hair of build-up, especially in hard-water areas, without stripping or drying out hair. I've seen less fading of my dyed haircolor, as this keeps your hair at a low pH and "neutralized". Compared to other neutralizing shampoos, this one actually does a good job at lathering and is quite concentrated, only a small amount is needed so this size is a good value!

NICE SHAMPOO
Works really well - did not strip my hair and make it feel dry. Highly recommended.
