I got the 1050 gph pump thinking they might be "over rated" but I had to turn it down to about 50% flow rate because it was way to high. My pond is not real big, 8.5' by about 5' & it averages around 15" deep with a water fall that needs about 3-3.5 feet of lift & this pump has more than enough power to do that. This little pump really flows the water. Sometimes when things are priced low it scares you because you think they're probably cheap junk but not in this case. This pump will suprise you how much water it will flow. The first pump I received had been opened & used & it was bad. They sent a replacement right away & it was fine. Now the first pump was black & I think it had been spray painted because the replacement pump is blue. It stands out like a sore thumb in the bottom of my garden pond. I'll probably end up spraying this one black like the other one as it looks so much better than the blue one. But that is minor & not a deal breaker at all. I will definitely use this companies pumps in the future. Thank you!
