The gears are for looks and heavy enough to make it perfectly sturdy. The packaging was A bomb proof...the thing arrived in 2 days and its large and 3d and hung perfect on its sturdy stand offs. so easy. I found it a little dark for my wall, so.... i taped off a few gears and frosted them with satin nickel spray. Great industrial look and at under 80 bucks you just cant go wrong...unless you were expecting Big Ben custom painted to your room.

I read the negative reviews. Come on. Are you really serious?! This is not functional nor heavy cast iron. The gears are for looks and heavy enough to make it perfectly sturdy. The packaging was A bomb proof...the thing arrived in 2 days and its large and 3d and hung perfect on its sturdy stand offs. so easy. I found it a little dark for my wall, so.... i taped off a few gears and frosted them with satin nickel spray. Great industrial look and at under 80 bucks you just cant go wrong...unless you were expecting Big Ben custom painted to your room.

I needed a large artpiece and wanted a clock in it so I found this. It is stunning! (I really need to upload a picture of it). Obviously the look of the clock will differ with your wall cover so choose your wall color accordingly, but the clock is great. It is lightweight, comes with mounting brackets and wall stubs (to keep the entire piece the same distance from the wall) and it also came with mounting hardware. I am so pleased with how this looks and a little jealous that a friend of mine saw it and bought it too!
