To my nose, this has a sugary, candy-like aroma that is not entirely unpleasant but definitely not something I want to smell like. Unfortunately this is a deal breaker for me, regardless of the quality of the product itself. (Im a woman and i get my hair in a bun and my top is cropped in bangs so i like to comb in back but con flat or sleek and when i recome it them bangs fall down nicely) Aniways The smell!! It smells good! As a guy with thick wavy hair, I had high hopes and I am happy to report that this product did not disappoint. It is so smooth and creamy to apply to my hair and it gives a slight shine. After about 5 minutes, I rerun my hands through my hair and it gets rid of the shine and I am left with a matte, controlled look. I absolutely love this product. The only con is that the scent is a bit too much at times like vanilla tobacco, but it does go away about 30 minutes after application.
