The graphite surface is what does it for me. I've used other paddles of similar weight but those had more of a composite surface. The hardness of the surface allows me to hit the ball with low force and still get descent distance out of it like I would with a heavier paddle. At the same time it's so light weight that I can be extremely quick with the paddle and really crush it.So far the paddle also seems pretty durable.
