Review: Great product - Very convenient solderless design. Works great and installed quickly. Purchased to allow easy pickup swapping to simplify experimentation. I didn't realize it would also improve sound quality in comparison to the stock Fender MIM wiring harness. Improved sweepable range for both tone and volume. No longer goes from bright to mud in less than half a twist. Even if I bury the tone for a warmer/darker quality it still retains clarity.
Review: It works! - Replaced the internal wiring on an 80s p bass with this harness. Got the thing up and running without soldering. I'd still recommend soldering because it seems like the wires could potentially fall out, but if you don't have a kit and don't want one then this is a good choice.

**Q: Did this fit a fender standard (made in mexico) pickguard out of the box or will it require modification. (Spacing is correct between knob holes?)**
A: Yes, it will fix a pickguard made for a MIM Precision Bass without mods.

**Q: would this fit a squier/fender mustang? seems like it would fit but im not sure**
A: I couldn’t say one way or the other. I bought one kit for my Squire Precision and my Squire Jazz. Both manufactured in Indonesia. If the pot layout is similar they should work.

The unit is easy to install and works great! I replaced my pickups with Fender P Bass Original ‘62 pickups and installed the Obsidian unit. Great combo! Sounds fantastic!
