## Description

Jasmine Sambac 'Grand Duke of Tuscany' produces wonderfully fragrant round white flowers. The flowers can be dried and use in jasmine tea. They are perfect for containers and can be grown in door near a sunny window. In the cooler climates, bring inside once temperature dips below 40 F. This is a well rooted plant. Remove packaging material. Check the root and gently pull a few loose if the root is bounded. Use a gallon or smaller container with good drainage. Plant with an all purpose potting soil. Place in the shade for a couple of days prior to moving to to an area with full sun.

Review: Healthy looking plant, well packaged. - I remembered this plant and its lovely scent from childhood. Took me a while to find what the English name is and then I found it on desertcart. I ordered and received the plant from the seller in less than a week. The plant looked pretty healthy and looks like it was grown from a cutting with roots looked well developed but not root bound. It came in a small wrapped plastic planter and packaged in a card board box. I transplanted it into a slightly bigger container with a bit of organic potting soil to let the roots grow, once it fills this one up, I'll put it in a larger pot. Weather's been nice and 1 week later no transplant shock. I think it's past blooming season so can't comment on flowers, but I will try update once it blooms hopefully sometime next year.
Review: Death of Tuscany - The Grand Duke of Tuscany? More like the Grand Death of Tuscany! I am an experienced gardener and want to warn customers, take note of this listing and don't go anywhere near these products. These are plants that should be thrown into the trash. My Jasmine was visibly dying but shipped to me anyway. I now have a dry stick in a pot that is supposed to be the sumptuous plant in the photo. Buyers are not mishandling these plants and causing them to die. These are simply not reputable goods. The plant showed up looking like wilted spinach, diseased and badly drooping. I tried in vain to save the sick plants storing at room temperature, potting them in a comfy environnment and treating it with love, but no amount of care was going to make a difference. No bud could ever sprout from the substandard condition it arrived in. Leaves violently fell out every day until I was left with the barren product I have now. I do not write bad reviews lightly, this is the first 1 star review I have left for an desertcart product. However, I can see that I am not the first angry customer swindled with this bad merchandise. I would not have bought if I had paid closer attention to the numerous 1 star reviews for this unethical service. I imagine that I will not be the last bad review unless desertcart takes down this rotten listing. Buyer Beware!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: This time of year can it suitable?**
A: It depends on the growing climate. The most active growth occurs when the weather is hot. In zone 10, that is spring, summer to early fall. In cooler zones, summer is time for the best growth. In temperatures below 70 degrees, new growth is slow, but the root system will continue to develop. Thanks.

**Q: Does this have a jasmine fragrance?**
A: had four small flowers in a small growing plant and didn't smell a fragrance while they were in bloom.

**Q: Does it bloom in the winter time?**
A: I received this plant on or about January 1, 2017. I have special lighting and am happy to share what that is. This plant is in my living room not near an open window. I wish I could attach a photo. One flower exactly like the picture on left bloomed on February 12, just this past Sunday and two large white buds may either bloom or maybe not. Please email me if you want my own photo of what bloomed. I was very excited. Let me know if you want to see what I ordered from Amazon in terms of lighting.

**Q: How large will this grow? The bigger, the better! Trying to find a very large jasmine.**
A: I bought 2- they only got about 10 inches, 1 is still alive the other died. The blooms very small, nothing like I expected!

I received this plant last week and I was very disappointed. It came in a small pot with dried soil. The plant is already dried and very small. It has 2 small branches that are dried. I don't know if it will grow. I watered it and it has not improved. I don't know if I will buy from this seller again. I would appreciate a replacement because i really like how the picture and the product description it has here.
