Takes a minute for heated water to reach faucet. I don't think my dishwasher will get hot water after initial fill again. So far, seems like a good water heater.Update:Have had this in use for nearly 2 years & still performs flawlessly! When showering in the summer, I have to turn hot water (just a small stream) on in the sink to keep heater from turning off(I live in phx, AZ so I take cool showers in the summer).My gas bill was about $30/mo before installing this & since installing it it's $14 or $15/mo-this unit is paying for itself.Only issue I've had is with the remote control(purchased separately)- when I first hooked it up, I was able to set temp to 140°. Once I lowered that temp to 120°, it can't be set above 120°, or below 115°-technically that isn't the water heater(made by same company as heater) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Brand recommended by a plumber, works as well as others in its class. *by R***0 on May 15, 2020* This brand was recommended by a plumber friend. So far so good. My previous house had a professionally installed Takagi Jr installed. The features are similar the only down side (to us) is the temperature doesn't go as low as the other one did. With the controller (also an add-on for the Takagi) the minimum is 115 with this and 99 with the Takagi Jr. We often operated ours at 104-108 (depending on time of year) which matched perfectly with our showers saving gas and slowing the buildup of deposits on the heat exchanger. I coupled this with a scale inhibitor cartridge.
