I've supplied pics of both the x-small and small/medium. Either would have worked but I'm glad I got the x-small. You can see in the pics, the small/medium just puckered more around my waist. It was not terrible but the x-small fit much more smoothly. If you are on the fence, go with the smaller. The fabric is soft, stretchy and very comfortable. Did not ride up. The tail did weigh down the back a bit so I found myself pulling up my waist line quite a bit even in the x-small but for the comfort of the stretchy, soft fabric it was worth the tug here and there through the night.
