Years ago I had purchased a similar boonie style hat, but the brim was comically oversized. This one has a decent brim around it, but not one that constantly flops around. I like that the brim is pretty forgiving however you want to shape it. I'm often told my head is large, but this hat fit well.At no point was the hat uncomfortable. It's very light weight. When it poured down rain the hat did not absorb much water. I wore it 6 days in a row and it helped protect my neck and face from the sun. (I still used some sunscreen.) The rope on the hat came in handy for tossing the hat back and leaning against it on rides and coasters so it didn't blow away. $10 price range seems like a bargain. No attempts to wash it were made. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent sun protection and for camouflage use! *by B***S on March 7, 2025* Excellent product and fit!Be sure to wash it first and rinse it twice to retain water repellency. We were going to be in the elements of AZ sunny, heat and water. The Boonie Hats were all in the same size - or were they? The sizes varied but did get the job done. Not everyone's head in the family is the same size around or deep. The adjustable chin strap worked well enough to keep the hats on while we traveled down the rapids of the CO River. The hats brim was large enough kept the sun off our faces, so we didn't get burned. If you are looking for a hat for a low price, I would recommend this one but be aware that the size varies. It does say only spot clean, I needed to launder mine due to the river water.
