I dont know the other term...** A: It actually calculates out to 32.811 x 12.0079. the 305 is the tire width in mm which converts to 12.0079 inches and the 70 is the sidewall height as a percentage of the tread width so 70% of 305 is 213.5mm. you have to double this number because there is a top and bottom sidewall when measuring height and you add in the rim diameter which is 406.4mm. all of that adds up to 833.4mm which converts to 32.811 inches. **Q: Are they quiet on the road?** A: Yes I've found them to be very quiet in my FJ cruiser. I switched to them from half worn BFG Mud Tsrrain km2s which had gotten very loud and these have almost no noise in comparison. All I hear now is wind noise and no tire noise. **Q: Ply rating?** A: This tire is a Load Range E, or 10-ply-rated tire. **Q: Is this price for 1 tire?** A: Yes.
