Here is the trick to make this work: lightly mist your hair with a sprayer like a bottle spray of water to get it very lightly damp first. Then use gloves and a paintbrush to dip in to the bottle and Brush into your hair. When you have the full coverage, you need let it sit for a bit, then what I do is get the hairdryer out and heat the hair a bit especially in the areas that need the most coverage. I have a lot of gray and bright white hair in the front of my face. And then I basically spray again with water when it gets a little dry and then repeat the process a few times during the hour.
