The packaging was different, with two just wrapped around a soft pillow, and the first one had proper factory packaging, but all three watches are identical with clear backs that show the movement. **Q: What is the difference between 8926OB and 17044 ? Which is the better one ?** A: The 8926OB has straight indicese at 6 and 9 while the 17044 has round ones. The band width on the 8926 is 20mm while 18mm on the 17044. The case thickness on the 8926 is 11mm while 14mm on the 17044.17044 is a newer model (jan 2014) and the 8926OB is 2006 (with a new version in 2011). Also, the 17044 lists a "stopwatch" as a special feature. **Q: Can enough links be removed to accommodate a 6.5" (approx.) wrist?** A: Yes. I have a 6.25" wrist, and had to remove all but one link.
